As promised here is "Grandmommy's Blog" {transcribed by me} while the kiddos were at their house. Grandmommy kept a great blog with tons of details....don't expect to ever see this much from me....I like my few words/tons of pictures technique ;). The superheroes and princess had SO much fun on their "kid's only vacation" I don't think they missed us at all...well at least they missed Bella :)!

Our Trip Home:
We barely got out of Olathe and the movie had started when Avery, Evan, and Granddaddy were sleeping. Ellie stayed awake for a few miles more until she fell asleep. Just before Sedalia everyone was awake again so we decided to take a break and get a cone of frozen custard. It was really windy and warm outside so the cones melted pretty quickly, but we all licked as fast as we could. Good thing they had an outside place to eat because we got really messy & sticky! When we got to Jefferson City, Ellie said she had to go potty so we stopped at McDonald's but was a little too late. We changed her clothes, took her potty and headed on back home. Once we finally made it home, carried in the things, we decided to take a dip in the pool. We got to play about half an hour before it started sprinkling so we came in. We had pizza and Root Beer for supper, watched TV and played until bedtime. All the kids were asleep by 9:30.
**Favorite Moment: Evan was full of jokes at bedtime. He had Avery chuckling aloud. Ellie would giggle with her hands cover her face (too cute). Couldn't bear to make them quiet down and go to sleep.

1st day:
We all got up around 7:20. Everyone slept good, but Evan did get up twice wanting a drink of water and ended up in bed with us. We had pancakes and bacon for breakfast and decided to go on a walk in the woods. We all put on pants, our tie dye shirts, and tennis shoes to keep off the ticks. We took a new route and went through "Kassi's" woods. We saw the horses and found a turtle to bring home. We also all had several ticks crawling on us so we stripped down and changed clothes. Evan & Ellie took a four wheeler ride with Granddaddy while Grandmommy read the MO Conservation to Avery. Avery and I fixed lunch meat and chips for us for lunch. It kept sprinkling and was only 70 degrees so we didn't go swimming, but Kassi came over to play for awhile. Take that last sentence out, so the sun popped out so the kids begged to go swimming. After about 1 1/2 hours they got out and had a snack of ice cream. Kassi had to leave for a church activity, but promised to come back tomorrow. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, and mac-n-cheese for supper. Afterwards, we went to visit "Cowboy" and his wife for a couple of hours. When we got home all the kids were tired and read for bed so we got into jammies and headed upstairs after brushing teeth. All the kids were asleep again by 9:30.
**Favorite Moment: Avery walked around my flower garden with me talking about the type of flowers I had and how pretty they were (a precious moment for Grandmommy).

2nd day:
Our day started at 7:15. After breakfast of strudels, Granddaddy came back home. Evan decided he wanted 5 turtles so we walked around the yard and equipment area looking for one. We then refilled the fish food and fed the fish. We also watched the mommy bird bring food to her babies in our bird house while eating morning snacks. Kassi came over just before lunch to play and sleep over. We had quesadillas for lunch and then went swimming. The temperature dropped in the pool again from the rain so the kids only stayed in for about an hour. We had ice cream cones on the porch while we warmed up from the cool pool water. We played games and watched TV until supper time. We had bar-b-que chicken, potatoes, corn, and strawberries. Little Ellie feel asleep eating so she didn't finish her supper. We decided to have the watermelon before baths as it gets kinda sticky. We ate it on the porch and then headed for bubble baths. Of course the snack before baths didn't fly with the kids, they had to have another. We then played with sidewalk chalk and caught over 30 fireflies before coming in to get ready for bed. They were all asleep by 9:45.
**Favorite Moment: It's such a great feeling to be taking a walk and a little hand slips theirs into yours. Sometimes there is more then one little hand.

3rd day:
We all got up at 7:45 this morning. Kids were excited to see Kassi when they first got up. We had cereal and bananas for breakfast. It was a cool morning of 63 degrees so the kids watched TV and played in the sandbox and took a short walk before lunch. For lunch we had chicken strips, chips, and grapes. The kids braved the cold pool again for almost two hours. We had the last of the ice cream cones for snack on the porch. Evan & Ellie both took a nap, one while watching TV, the other while Grandmommy was swinging her. We had brats, hot dogs man-n-cheese, and peaches with bananas for supper. Granddaddy toke the kids on a 4 wheeler ride while Grandmommy cleaned up the dishes. When they got back Aunt Kay and Uncle Bruce came by to visit. We decided to have Root Beer floats and Avery had a Root Beer slushie. The kids played hide and seek until bedtime. They were asleep by 9:45.
**A little scary moment: Ellie was sitting on the rock steps watching the other kids play in the pool because she was cold. She hollered at me saying her finger hurt. When I got over to her I realized she had her fingers caught in the crack of the rocks. We couldn't get them free without her crying so I went and got the baby oil to loosen them up. They finally came free after a couple squirts and pulls.

4th day:
We all got up at 7:30 this morning. Evan got in bed with us at 12:30 last night, but Avery and Ellie slept in their bed all night long, every night since here. We had blueberry waffles and yogurt sticks for breakfast. It was only 60 degrees so the kids played house and school with Kassi this morning. We decided to stay in our jammies until swimsuit time. For lunch we had sausage, cheese, and cracker sandwiches (as the kids called them), leftover pizza, strawberries, grapes, and chips. Immediately after lunch they got in the pool. It was still too cool for Evan and Ellie, but Kassi and Avery stayed in for 1 1/2 hours, with Avery staying in 15 minutes longer (the winner). We had popsicles for snack on the porch then the boys played with boy toys while Ellie feel asleep on Granddaddy's lap. We had pork chops, potatoes, gravy, and kiwi for supper. Grandmommy ran to the store while Granddaddy and Kassi watched the kids. Then we had to search for Opie because on one saw him after Granddaddy left, but we finally found him on the neighbors back porch scared to come down. We then waited for Mommy and Daddy to come.
**A little hectic moment: Ellie got stung by a wasp while I was at the store. The van wouldn't start at the store so Granddaddy had to come and jump start it. When he told me what happened I couldn't get home fast enough to see about Ellie. I called Kassi to make sure she was ok on our way home.
