#51 cows, #52 car washes, & #53 parks

Wow another weekend has flown by already...and we are exactly one month until school starts now...oh boy!  It was a a nice relaxing weekend spending family time together.

Let's start with Friday...

We had lots of fun swimming with friends Friday morning and having a picnic lunch together....but can you believe it, I got zero pictures from all that fun!  Here's a little glimpse of what our porch looks like almost every afternoon in the summertime ;).

Then we decided to take a quick trip dressed up like some cows to get a little FREE Chick-Fil-A for cow appreciation day!  Yes, they are already in their pjs, but we just drove through :)...which was a good thing because we didn't want to run into that COW again...

However, one cow got a little sleepy on the trip there :).

Next, we have Saturday...

We started our day with a little trip to the local Farmer's Market.  Evan was very adamant about getting peaches there!

We next headed to Lowe's to do one of our favorite things, their Build and Grow clinics!

While as Lowe's we picked up supplies to make our "car wash"!!  It was so easy to make and the kiddos had a blast going through it.

Finally, on Sunday...

After church, we went for a 9 mile family bike ride to a park and hit all 3 playgrounds there.

Then after some lunch, we headed to the pool.  Ryan got to see the kiddos awesome swimming skills lately.  Evan has really gotten good at going under the water and even swimming under the water & Ellie does really good with "swimming" in her puddle jumper!  Avery went down the "big" slide for the first time and LOVED it!  Now Avery, isn't quite the 48" required height {he's more like 47"}, but Ryan kind of fudged it a bit with Avery's sticking up hair and running past the lifeguard before they could stop them ;).

After dinner we then headed to the "little park" with the boys on their bikes and Ellie in the wagon.  Avery is sooooo close to being able to do his bike all on his own.  He was able to get started on it tonight even and rode all around the little park twice!  Evan is doing great on his bike too, but he always wants to be just like Avery so when we got back home he asked Ryan to take off his training wheels too.  They took a few practice laps by the house and Evan's a bit wobbly, but he does not want to put his training wheels back on.  We will see how it goes.

At the parks today the boys BOTH {this is another example where Evan must be like Avery} got really good at swinging by themselves!

And this is how we ended our weekend!  The kiddos have now all been going to sleep together in Avery's top bunk bed ;)...I do move Ellie to her room once she's asleep because she sleeps better by herself.  It works for me because I don't have to lay with anyone to go to sleep!  And for the most part everyone has stayed in their rooms all night long!
