Day 2 of {love} brought a little bit of sweetness...which made Evan happy :). The superheroes & princess found a little cup of marshmallows, chocolate chips, chocolate, and red sprinkles that were to use as toppings for their strawberry hot chocolate we would make later...and a pink straw. Of course Evan had to sample a bit...you know just to make sure everything was okay.
{The cup says, "Your love warms my heart"}
{Yes this was Evan smiling...}
{The boys had a haircut this afternoon so they went from the craziness above to a little less crazy below...}
{First we added the ice cream...we didn't have strawberry ice cream so we just used vanilla and added some frozen strawberry jam we had on hand}
{Daddy helped too...kiddos are so excited!}
{Happy girl!}
{The verdict: the kids liked it! It was very rich and after an afternoon at a birthday party...my kids may never go to sleep! The kids could only drink half of it...it tasted like a warm milk shake, which was different, but good. The recipe calls for added butter and sugar, but I think if we make it again we won't add those...doesn't ice cream already have enough of it as it is??? I think you could get away with warming up just plain strawberry ice cream.}
{Our finished cups were pretty cute...we also didn't do the chocolate around the edge of the cup... obviously that part wasn't written for kids who would have made a big mess out of trying to eat the side of their cup ;)}
