Today was just about slowing down for a second and enjoying some hot chocolate together with a secret ingredient...some strawberry syrup.  The kids verdict...yummy!

In other daily news...

The boys finally went back to school today {well Evan only went today and Avery only goes until Wednesday before another break for conferences}...so what do the girls do...go buy a new outfit for Ellie's upcoming Tumbling class.  She {loved} the outfit and refused to take it off for the rest of the day!

Then Evan had a GREAT day at preschool according to him...why?  It was Valentine party day and he came home with CANDY!  That boy {loves} his candy!

And this boy scored two goals during a scrimmage at basketball practice tonight!  This is big for Avery...he has yet to make a basket in a game because he is too scared and always passes the ball off, but he finally braved it out at practice tonight and made an attempt!  He was very proud of himself and hopefully this confidence will transfer to a game!

The last news for the day...Ryan is doing pretty well since his surgery.  Still 5 more weeks on crutches, but he is getting around better and got his staples removed today.  If you want to see what they did to his hip you can see the below x-ray of everything that's in there...it's kind of gross so I will give some space here in case you don't want to see ;)
