everyday life: day 1

When I look back on old pictures the parts I like looking at the best are the daily pictures that are so apart of life you never usually think to take a picture of it.  When you are in your day to day routines you think you will never forget these things, but kids grow up so quickly and life is constantly changing so you forget the things you once did.  Therefore, for the next week I will document our "everyday" life so as not to miss these moments.  Hold on to your seats because our schedule is a little crazy lately :)!

Monday:

Morning breakfast.  Yes, Bella is waiting for any food to be dropped on the floor.

Backpacks ready for two boys to head to school.

On our way to drop off the boys at two different schools...1st grade and preschool!  I have approximately a 5 minute window to get Avery dropped off at his school when the doors open and Evan at his school for the teacher car-side pickup.  That's enough time, but you have to time it EXACTLY right...

After drop off, it's just Ellie & I!

We come back home...mom does a little cleaning...

and Ellie does a little playing...including asking for her brother Evan's cup just because he isn't there to get mad at her for drinking out of it ;).

Then after just 50 minutes at home it is time for mom to go and volunteer in Avery's class for an hour.  That means Ellie gets to go play with her friend Lilly.  Ellie has to take her backpack everywhere...just like her brothers.

This is what Ellie gets to do while mom is away!

I volunteer every other week for just an hour in Avery's class, but I love it because you get to kind of see what he does during the day and who his friends are.  I love having the chance to be able to do this!  After the hour it's time to quickly pick up Ellie again and head to pick up Evan.

That 2 1/2 hours Evan is in preschool goes by so fast!  Today he tells me he had library, recess, and popcorn for snack...yep that's pretty much all I hear about.  He also made this card today and he did tell me he learned another friend's name.

Then it's home for another snack...yes that is Bella there waiting for more food again...don't worry she never misses a crumb ;).

We have about 45 minutes between picking up Evan and lunch time...Ellie does a craft today and Evan plays on the "big phone" aka iPad.

Lunch time and Barney :).

Next, nap time for Ellie.  She has FINALLY got rid of needing her sippy cup to go to sleep!

Evan doesn't nap anymore...today he was watching Clifford; playing with a cars walkie talkie, a Despicable Me figurine, and his gourd form the Red Barn this weekend ;).  Yes, Evan finds the strangest things to play with.

Then Evan helps me tackle the boys' clothes.  It was time to move down the long sleeve shirts and figure out who wears what size...I don't know how, but it seems like their sizes keep moving closer together!

After Ellie wakes up around 2 it is time to play on the "playground".  It was a cool day so Ellie gets to wear her new monkey hat she has been wanting to wear!  They could swing for hours.

It's finally time to pick up Avery at 3:40!  I don't know why, but the time Evan is gone goes by so fast, but Avery's day seems to drag by!  I think the kindergarten 3 hour schedule was perfect...maybe even 4 hours...but not the full day 7 HOURS!  Avery had a good day...he had P.E. and Spanish and it was cold his first recess and he had to run around a lot...yes, again the other boy doesn't tell me much about his day either...

We get home, check the mail and find a special package from Grandmommy & Granddaddy...new shirts!  The best day ever...Lego Chima, Princess, and Skylanders...perfect!  Thanks!

Snack and homework for Avery.  Yes, Avery's snack is a large sucker today :).

The other two play some games...and fight over some games...

These two decide to help me make grilled cheese to go with our chili tonight!  Yes, it is chili weather :)!!!!!  Avery has been making his own lunch too!

While I clean up the kitchen the kiddos are back on the playground.

And then it is time for Evan's soccer practice with lots of friends!!

He had lots of fun playing goalie!

Then what do they put on when mom puts back their winter pjs in their drawers...Evan is so happy to have his footie pjs back :)!

Day 1 down!
