I know everyone has been waiting on pins and needles for our second installment of our day...well wait no more...here it is ;)!
If you happened to miss the first part of our day here you go.
Yes, this is a very typical day. Our days usually just change by what we do in the mornings and after school. Weekly our schedule goes:
Monday - morning gym, playdates
Tuesday - MOPS (every other Tuesday), gym after school
Wednesday - storytime
Thursday - our {open} day...trips to stores, playdates, doctor/dentist appointments
Friday - morning gym, playdates
We left off at 1:27 when I said that was me time...well if you are a mom or around kids at all you should know that "me time" never lasts long at all...
2:05 Evan awake, directly followed by Ellie awake...
{If you do the math that was exactly 38 minutes of "me time"...not bad in mommyhood standards, but I do recall getting longer breaks even as a teacher...}
2:07 Ellie happened to wake up wet with panties on {her first naptime accident} so that means more laundry and a whole new outfit for princess
2:13 Snack time
{The first question always out of Evan's mouth, "when is snack time?".}
{They decided on popcorn and raisins together...this can be a battle some days of whose getting what...}
2:30 Mommy finishes her blog so E & E actually look at a photo album together.
2:55 Ellie goes to play with toys
{One of her favorite toys lately is this cash register. She loves it!}
{Then E & E decide to watch Wreck it Ralph together for a few minutes. It's pretty cute. But these two never stick with movies for more then a few minutes.}
3:10 Switch laundry...again...
{Okay I am beginning to think my whole day is about laundry here...I couldn't imagine having anymore kiddos then I already have if we produce this much...}
3:24 Shoes on to go get Avery from school
{This is pretty much a daily battle with Ellie.}
3:34 Waiting to pick up Avery
{I have decided that there is a lot of waiting time once your kiddos are in school. E & E's favorite part is coming up to the front seat to play.}
{E & E waiting for Avery to come down the hallway at the school.}
3:43 Pick up Avery.
{Isn't he cute in his fishing hat?}
3:52 Picking up some groceries at Aldi
{I think I have already explained my love of this place!}
4:15 Back home
{On our way home with snacks...I am not above bribing my kiddos with being good in the store with snacks on the car ride home...today it was animal crackers.}
4:20 Getting some fresh air before heading inside
{Avery in front of the last of our igloo...}
{The kiddos love to check the mail.}
{We got a package from Grandmommy...a bird feeder to use on our spring mantel. Yeah!}
4:30 Groceries away...
...while the kiddos play school. This is one of their favorite games recently. I have to say I love that they play school :)!
5:03 Make and turn down beds
{Yes, every night I turn down beds around 5...I am a dork, but it kind of makes me feel like I am in a fancy hotel...right ;)}
5:15 Pay bills
{Since the kiddos are still playing school and they have told me to stay away I decide to pay some bills...fun times!}
5:35 Spend some time playing with kiddos
5:59 Work on dinner
{Around here almost every other night is leftover night. It makes my job a lot easier and everyone here is happy this this system! Tonight it's leftover spaghetti and meatballs (we LOVE this meatball recipe), green beans, and an Aldi pineapple ;).}
6:11 Dinner
{It's a late night for Ryan so we eat before he gets home or these kiddos would want even more snacks!}
{Avery was tired of me taking pictures of him so he took one of me.}
6:25 Go over papers Avery brought home
6:31 Kiddos watch a movie together
{The movie of choice was Strawberry Shortcake. We love the free movies from the library!}
6:33 Clean kitchen and empty dishwasher
6:49 Snuggles with kiddos
7:24 Dessert time
7:32 Jammies on
{Every other night is bath night so no bath night tonight.}
{While jammies are going on I also lay out their clothes for the next day. It makes the mornings SO much easier!}
7:35 Daddy home!!!!
7:45 Night time books
{Each kiddo gets to pick their own book for me to read...or 2 or 3 books according to Evan.}
8:00 Change schedule
{The kiddos have a schedule of what we do every day that we change the night before. This lets them know what to be prepared for the next day and mornings are easier when they know. Ellie's name is wrote on top by the star too because she is "star of the week" this week. This simply means if there is an argument about something and no one is really "right" then the star of the week takes priority. In our house this means they get to sit at the front of the bath tub during baths, get to read their night time book first, and watches their library movie on the way home from the library. This system has worked great!}
{Brush teeth}
8:02 Night time kisses
8:04 In Bed
{They still all want to sleep together in Ellie's room. I lay in there until they are asleep or E & E wouldn't go to sleep. It takes a little longer for them to all fall asleep because of time change, but they are all out by 8:30.}
I get my clothes ready, coffee ready, and am in bed by 8:45. Where I relax for the rest of the night! These days can be long and exhausting, but I would not have it any other way!
