Finally, on the twenty-fifth day...

Merry Christmas from us!  Santa did well this year and we have three very happy kiddos.  Avery got his latest Skylanders game, Evan got his trampoline {in fact when he woke up he told everyone that he just knew there was a trampoline in the backyard :)}, and Ellie got her princess lights.  They also got lots of other fun stuff from Grandmommy & Granddaddy, Kelsey & Paul, and Tamarin.  Thanks to our family for coming and making our day extra special for us!  Now the kiddos are off to the grandparents' house for their kids' only vacation for a few days.

On the twenty-third day...

Elfy came back with an I {love} U note to us.

Today was a busy day of grocery shopping, last minute errands, playing in the snow, warming back up with hot chocolate, and making and decorating sugar cookies!  I can't believe Christmas is 2 days away!  

{Our perfect sledding hill is now on the backside of our fence, which means every time the kiddos go down it they run into the back of our fence...they didn't seem to mind, but hopefully our fence is still standing after the season ;)}

{They had so much fun playing in the snow and I had a hard time getting them inside...even when it was only 12 degrees outside!}

On the twenty-second day...

We woke up to several inches of snow on top of some ice!  Finally some of the white stuff around here!  Elfy was happy to see it and was hanging out at the window.

We didn't have time to enjoy the snow today too much {but I am sure snow play is in our future} because we were off to Nannie and Papa's house for their Christmas.  The drive was slow going at first through the snow, but thankfully we were able to make it!  We enjoyed lots of food, presents, and family!  Good times! 

Then it was sadly time to make the four hour trek back home {yes, that's right we drove 8 hours total today...although Evan asked a million times if we were there yet both ways, our kiddos are pretty good in the car and it wasn't that bad}.  The extended time gave us a chance to listen to some Christmas music, play with their new toys they just got, and watch lots of movies :).

Now bedtime!  This is how my boys are choosing to sleep tonight....
